July Write Up

Notes about the July Match
It was a warm Hawaiian day, but as the sun rose higher, so did the temperature. All Shooters were dressed in their finest Hawaiian duds, getting their safety instructions and information about recent illness/injuries of fellow cowboys unable to attend.
Safety brief over, posse assignments given, firearms check and loading began. Stages were again compliments of Durango Dude. He himself was unable to shoot due to recent illness, but none the less arrived to review the stages and keep score.
10:00 AM, shooting began. Shooters were reminded throughout the day to drink water and get out of the sun as much as possible when not shooting. By 12:45 the smoke had cleared, Bangin ‘n Clangin was over.
32 shooters were hot, hungry and thirsty, but without heat casualties. Most adjourned to our favorite watering hole to relax, cool down, Clinc ‘n Drink and enjoy well known Cowboy fellowship. Scores were tabulated then bragging and excuses began.
My thanks to all who braved the heat to make our Annual Hawaiian shoot a success.
Kudos to: Robin De Banks, Chris Carson and Gary the Gambler for clean shoots.
Top shooters for the day were: Chilliwack Buck, Jingles Jerr and 2 Step, in that order.
Adios for now and may the Good Lord take a liking to you.
