Mill Creek Wranglers

It was a cold day. The temperature hovered around 6 degrees. Wicklow had the pot belly stove going with hot cider brewing on top. A total of 11 Millcreek Wranglers showed up to exhibit their shooting prowess with six gun, Winchester rifle and shotgun. Where were the rest of the Wranglers? Home in bed where most normal people would be on a day like this. But, these were not normal people. The list read like a who’s who of Cowboy Action Shooting. Wicklow Wrangler, Durango Dude, Chris Carson, Riverboat Bob, JD Cane, Wichita Wayne, Firehole, Roustabout, El Lobo Big Jake and Chilliwack Buck (who’s better half said “You’re F___ing Crazy” as he walked out the door). All were ready, the shooting started at 10:00 Am and when the smoke had cleared about 12:15 PM, with the temperature up to a still chilly 18 degrees, Wichita Wayne was top shooter for the day. Following the shoot we all retired to the local watering hole to sample the local fare and warm our innards with either Jack Daniels or Tequila.
