August 2008 Match

This month: PREPARE YEWER-SELVES AGIN!!! We will have another – heat-induced special match: JIMMY BUFFET MEETS THE PIRATES OF THE CHESAPEAKE!!! Stay tuned for more scratchin’ n giglin’ for August!!!

Yup: That’s what I wrote bout the match, and did my best ta make em come true!!

Pirates abounded, and ya otta see the pics!!... Hank Dogberry, JD Cane, Del Rio, and others…. uhhhhh, jeez, we hope there were pics…. Anyone with pics please send em ta yers truly or JD Cane…..

Twas the 1st Annual August Jimmy Buffet meets the Pirates ot the Chesapeake shoot, courtesy of 2-Step!! An included were 3 of the 4 stages with extry guns!!! 2-Step supplied an extree gun, as needed, and lots of people managed ta swap around with friends (must have… still had a bunch of ammo at the end of the day!!) And the great sun ‘n Pirate worshippers costuming and general casualllnesss were a great relief from our normal cowboy clothin!!

23 shooters braved the “possible” Heat n Humid ta come on out n play!!! With the arrival of Chris Carson, and the Delightful Denver Deb, we had just enuff fer two kinda ok posses, but everyone stepped up to the plate and worked real hard ta keep things rolling along so as to keep anyone from working too hard; A couple of the regulars were missing, but coulda been they’d been warned that the 2-Step was writin’ the stages.

Well, four great stages for us to play on, and Dude even set up a great buncha props ta help us with our And grabbing yer knife and stabbing that old fins’ feller…... wellll… fun! Chris Carson wrote a nice after action – most of ya have seen it…. which I think most uf us agree with….. Any other ideas… send em along….

Well; the last stage had the RO askin’ ifn’ the shooter knew what time it was; (It’s five o’clock Somewhere!!)….. Riverboat Bob on our possee enter-tained us with the best pre-stage oration bout it……. And is hereby awarded 10 style points!!!!! Enny-whos, we all persevered, and came through with limp clothing, and headed off for our after shootin’ ‘Clink n Drink’. Food and more Frolic:

As always, the results are attached, this month we got all the class information put in, so the results are shown in class order. Co-Grad-u-Lations to all the winners!!! And THANKS ta da Durango Da Pirate Dude; Fer winning, he got ta buy the 1st Round!!!

There was after action discussion about a couple of other open items: The Safety briefing is going thru a minor revision; Verbiage, mostly….. Stay Tuned
