March Write Up

Mill Creek Wranglers
Notes about the March Match

Well, after 2 major snow storms and some flurries in between, we finally managed to have the second Cowboy shoot of the year. And what a day it was. Temperature in the high 60’s, sun shinning, no mud on the ground and everybody smiling. Had a total of 28 shooters, 5 stages compliments of Wicklow Wrangler, Had some of our previous regulars return to shoot with us (good to see you 2 Step and del Rio) and had some new shooters join us. Welcome El Cid, M.T. De Banks and Robin de Banks. Also had some shooters who usually shoot at other venues. Glad to have you with us, Chaptico Marshal, Rio Hombre, Big Jake Mermod and Dakota Ringo. We could not have had a greater compliment than when we were told that “this is our new favorite place to shoot”. We thank you. We did miss some of our regulars, Where were you CC?

We had 3 clean matches, Kudos to Lt. Romaine, 2 Step and Six Gun Santa. Top shooter for the day was Lt. Romaine with a 191.23, followed closely by 2 Step with 203.48 and rolling in 3rd was Chaptico Marshal with 217.11.

Shame Shame on you know who for making the rookie mistake of leaving the loading table with loaded guns. Cost him a DQ. Bet he never does that again.

Good or bad, top score or bottom, everyone had a great time.

Our next regular shoot will be on Saturday 4. 17. 2010. We’re going to try to set up some new shooter clinics on the 1st Saturday of the month sometime this year. Anyone interested in helping out, let me know. If you know anyone you think might be interested in shooting cowboy, put them in touch with either Riverboat Bob or myself.

Adios for now and may the Good Lord take a liking to ya.
