Mill Creek Wranglers July 2008 Match Twas the 4th Annual Hawaiiana shoot, courtesy of the Dudester!! An included lots of fun props: Didja see Nanticoke with his ‘cornstalk’ grass skirt……. Neeto!! Book ‘em, Dano!! And other great Gidgetttyyyy sayings…… And the great sun-worshippers costuming and general casualllnesss were a great relief from our normal cowboy clothin!! We had 18 shooters brave the Heat n Humid ta come on out n play!!! We made one big posse, with 2 groups, so as to keep anyone from working too hard; A number of the regulars, especially ladies, were missing, but all for the best of reasons!!! Speaking of heat…. We are going to try to spell a couple of positions (like timekeeper) more often. And bring out more agua…. Well, Dude designed four great stages for us to play on, and even set up a great background for our possee picture, AND he even invited Belle Bottoms And Carly WillKilya ta help out & they took a BUNCH of great pics, toooo…… And a good time was had by all. JD announced at the beginning of the match, that since the ENTIRE range had just been hydro-seeded, that all miss penalties would be 15 seconds….. but he was kidding…. And with that, there were not a lot of misses….and not even a lot of procedurals over the ‘Maui’ Sweep, or the ….. hmmm, what was that masked man’s sweep, anyhooos?? And grabbing a bottle of Red or Green Hot sauce from the pig-a-nick basket to determine wheather to shoot the red or green targets….. wellll… fun! We got great posse pictures, and will get them posted up onto the web site as soon as we can. We had several cameras around, and we are in the process of gathering all the pics up. Well: That’s what we had: mostly hot and steamy, with a tad of wayyy too sunny: but we all persevered, and came through with limp clothing, and headed off for our after shootin’ ‘Clink n Drink’. Food and more Frolic: Again: anyone with stage ideas, put ‘em down in writin’ and send em along to A2Step@aol.com . As always, the results are attached, this month we got all the class information put in, so the results are shown in class order. Co-Grad-u-Lations to all the winners!!! There was after action discussion about a couple of problems: 1st thing: all y’all: If’n ya think yer seein a problem, bring it on up to one of the gold Badged Regulators and let us know: Problems such as breaking the 170, and carrying a shotgun to the unloading table were either not seen, or (were or should have been) corrected before they had gotten out of hand. There was an additional problem that has some interesting literature in the SASS rule book: More on this ifn’ yer interested: Leave it to say it has been reviewed and discussed intensely, and changes put into place to prevent any future occurrence… The action pistol meeting will be Monday, July 28th at 7pm in the clubhouse.
